Day 1 – Welcome to Sumatra & Journey to Bukit Lawang

Welcome to Medan, the gateway to North Sumatra.

Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport, your driver will warmly welcome you before beginning the scenic journey to Bukit Lawang, a peaceful village located on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park.

During the 4–5 hour drive, you will pass beautiful countryside landscapes, plantations, and traditional villages.

Upon arrival, check in to your comfortable riverside accommodation. In the evening, enjoy a delicious traditional Sumatran dinner, famous for its rich spices and authentic flavors.

Day 2 – Jungle Trekking & Orangutan Encounter
After breakfast, your guide will take you into the incredible rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the oldest rainforests on Earth.

During your trekking adventure, you will explore the jungle while searching for:

? Thomas leaf monkeys

Day 3 – Journey to Berastagi & Volcano Views
After breakfast, continue your adventure to the beautiful highland town of Berastagi.

Day 4 – Sipiso-Piso Waterfall & Arrival at Lake Toba

After breakfast, travel to one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Indonesia.

Standing 120 meters high, it is the tallest waterfall in North Sumatra and offers breathtaking views over Lake Toba.

After enjoying the waterfall, continue your journey to Parapat, located on the shores of Lake Toba.

From here you will cross by ferry to the beautiful Samosir Island, located in the middle of the lake.

Enjoy a relaxing evening with stunning lake views.

Day 5 – Discover Batak Culture on Samosir Island
Today you will explore the fascinating culture of the Batak people, one of the most unique cultures in Indonesia.

? Stone chairs of the ancient Batak kings in Ambarita

Learn about the history, traditions, and unique customs of the Batak people while enjoying the peaceful beauty of Lake Toba.

Day 6 – Return to Medan
After breakfast, return by ferry to Parapat before continuing the scenic drive back to Medan.
