Day 1 – Welcome to Sumatra & Journey to Bukit Lawang

Your adventure begins the moment you land at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan.

Our friendly private driver will welcome you and take you on a scenic journey to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to the rainforest.

During the 3–4 hour drive you will pass vibrant local villages, vast palm plantations, colorful roadside markets, and the lively atmosphere of Sumatra.

We will stop at a local restaurant where you can enjoy authentic North Sumatran cuisine. This is also a good moment to buy an Indonesian SIM card or withdraw cash before entering the jungle area.

When you arrive in Bukit Lawang, you will be welcomed by our local team and guided to your cozy riverside lodge surrounded by rainforest. The peaceful sounds of the jungle and flowing river will immediately make you feel far away from the busy world.
Day 2 - Discover the Hidden Beauty of Bukit Lawang

Today you explore the unique nature and culture of Bukit Lawang.

You may visit the rare Rafflesia arnoldii, one of the largest flowers in the world that grows only in Sumatra’s rainforest.

For wildlife lovers, you can also visit Tangkahan, known as the hidden jungle paradise where rescued elephants live and roam near the forest.

Back in Bukit Lawang, you will explore local village life:

Day 3 - Enter the Wild Jungle of Gunung Leuser

Your real adventure begins today as you enter the incredible Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the last places on Earth where orangutans still live in the wild.

With your experienced jungle guide, you will trek through dense tropical rainforest searching for wildlife such as:

* Wild orangutans

* Siamang gibbons

* Thomas leaf monkeys

* Hornbills and exotic birds

The jungle is alive with sounds of nature and breathtaking scenery.

At night you will camp deep in the rainforest beside a small river. Enjoy a delicious jungle dinner prepared by your guide while listening to the magical sounds of the forest.
Day 4 – Jungle Adventure & River Rafting

Wake up surrounded by the jungle and continue exploring deeper parts of the rainforest.

After the trek, your adventure finishes with one of the most fun experiences in Bukit Lawang — traditional jungle river rafting. Floating down the clear river on tubes brings you back to the village while enjoying the beauty of the rainforest from a different perspective.

Day 5 – Journey to the Highlands of Berastagi

After breakfast you continue toward the beautiful mountain town of Berastagi.

Along the journey you will pass areas shaped by the powerful eruptions of Mount Sinabung. Seeing the volcano rising dramatically above the landscape is an unforgettable sight.

Berastagi welcomes you with cool mountain air, scenic views, and peaceful surroundings.
Day 6 – Sunrise Volcano Trekking

Early in the morning you hike to the summit of Mount Sibayak.

Watching the sunrise from the top of the volcano is magical. Soft golden light slowly illuminates the crater and the surrounding mountains.

After the hike you can relax at natural hot springs at the base of the volcano.

Later you can explore Berastagi Fruit Market, famous for fresh tropical fruits, local crafts, and traditional Karo culture.
Day 7 – The Majestic Lake Toba

Today you travel to one of the most spectacular landscapes in Southeast Asia — Lake Toba.

Along the way you stop at beautiful viewpoints including Sipiso-Piso Waterfall, where water plunges dramatically from high cliffs.

From Parapat you take a ferry across the lake to Samosir, a peaceful island filled with Batak culture.
Day 8 – Batak Culture on Samosir Island

Samosir is the cultural heart of the Batak people.

Visit traditional villages such as Huta Siallagan, where ancient stone chairs and stories of Batak kings reveal fascinating history.

You will also enjoy traditional Batak dance performances, visit museums, and see the royal tombs of Batak kings.
Day 9 – Journey to Singkil
